How it works

Step 1

Connect

Sensors, meters and machines connect over MQTT or HTTPS, directly or through the MOD-IoT Gateway for Modbus RTU/TCP equipment. Each device can have its own X.509 certificate.

Step 2

Map

Map the fields in your existing JSON payload to metric names in the dashboard. No firmware change and no fixed data schema, so any sensor type works.

Step 3

Monitor and act

Build live dashboards, set per-metric alert thresholds with email notifications, compare periods, ask questions in plain language, and export reports.

Meter connectivity

Energy meters that speak Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP connect through the MOD-IoT Gateway, which reads their registers and forwards them as telemetry.

Compare and find waste

Compare consumption across periods, devices and sites, and spot loads running when they should be idle.

Alerts on abnormal load

Set thresholds on power, current or power factor and get notified by email when a reading crosses them.

Energy Monitoring FAQs

Which energy meters are supported?

Meters with a Modbus RTU or Modbus TCP interface connect through the MOD-IoT Gateway. Meters or systems that already publish JSON over MQTT or HTTPS can connect directly.

Can I monitor several sites together?

Yes. Devices from every site report to the same account, and dashboards, comparisons and the map cover all of them.

Do I need to replace my existing meters?

Usually not. If a meter has a Modbus interface, the gateway can read it.
