Machine monitoring for manufacturing
Every machine already knows when it is running, overheating or drawing too much current. FirmCraft brings those signals from PLCs, sensors and meters into one live view, so maintenance and production teams see problems while there is still time to act.
What you can monitor
- Running, idle and offline status
- Motor and bearing temperature
- Vibration
- Current and energy per machine
- Custom PLC registers: counts, speeds, pressures
Where it is used
- CNC and machining shops
- Injection moulding and packaging lines
- Pumps, compressors and motors
- OEMs monitoring machines installed at customer sites
How it works
Step 1
Connect
Sensors, meters and machines connect over MQTT or HTTPS, directly or through the MOD-IoT Gateway for Modbus RTU/TCP equipment. Each device can have its own X.509 certificate.
Step 2
Map
Map the fields in your existing JSON payload to metric names in the dashboard. No firmware change and no fixed data schema, so any sensor type works.
Step 3
Monitor and act
Build live dashboards, set per-metric alert thresholds with email notifications, compare periods, ask questions in plain language, and export reports.
Any machine signal
Because metrics are defined by you, a PLC counter, a vibration sensor and an energy meter all appear side by side without custom development.
AI analytics
Ask questions about your machines in plain language and get charts and answers from your own telemetry, alongside automatic insight discovery.
Firmware updates for your fleet
OEMs can roll out firmware to deployed devices over the air and track each device's update status.

Machine Monitoring FAQs
Can I connect PLCs?
Yes, through a gateway. PLCs and controllers with Modbus RTU or TCP are read by the MOD-IoT Gateway, and devices that publish JSON over MQTT or HTTPS connect directly.
Can I give my customers access to their machines only?
Yes. The platform is multi-tenant with role-based access, including read-only Viewer accounts, so each customer sees only the devices assigned to them.
Does it predict failures?
It provides the data foundation for it: live and historical telemetry, threshold alerts and AI-assisted analysis that surfaces unusual trends. Failure prediction models depend on your machines and data.
